Music has a unique way of connecting us to our emotions and creating worlds we can escape into. Knowing my favorite artists and songs is like holding pieces of my identity. I hope this inspires you to dive into some new songs and maybe even find a few that feel like home to you too. I hope you enjoy:)

1. “The Wind” – Yusuf/Cat Stevens
I discovered this song through a movie that holds a very special place in my heart, The Holdovers. At the time, the movie brought me a lot of comfort during a rough period in my life. To me, this song felt like being wrapped in a warm blanket—exactly what I needed then.

2. “You’re Gonna Go Far” – Noah Kahan
Noah Kahn is one of my favourite artists. His songs have a thought provoking aspect to them that I’m obsessed with. This song in particular always makes me tear up. I just think it’s so perfect.

3. “Tim McGraw” – Maggie Rogers (Cover)
Everything Maggie sings feels ethereal, and this cover is no exception. Her version of the song feels so personal and intimate. It’s been one of my favorites for a long time.

4. “See You Again” – The Chainsmokers
A sad song disguised as an EDM banger. It makes you want to cry and dance at the same time. I love it.

5. “The Face” – Kings of Leon
This is easily one of my favorite songs of all time by one of my favorite bands of all time. It’s one of those rare songs that speaks directly to your soul—or at least it does to mine.

It also features my favorite lyric ever: “If you give up New York, I’ll give you Tennessee.”

6. “But Daddy, I Love Him” – Taylor Swift
Choosing a top Taylor Swift song was harder than any college exam I’ve ever taken. But this was definitely the Taylor song I played most on repeat this year. Plus, who doesn’t love the rebellious thrill of defying their parents? Hehe.

7. “Pink Skies” – Zac Bryan
As a country lover, this song hits all the right notes. Bonus points for featuring the harmonica—it’s such an underrated instrument that more songs need.

8. “The Greatest Love” – Whitney Houston
For some reason, I couldn’t stop listening to this song at the start of the year. I’ve always loved love songs, but there’s something special about one that celebrates the love you have for yourself.

9. “Chinatown” – The Bleachers ft. Bruce Springsteen
The only way to describe this song is magnetic. It pulls you into its world, making you yearn for a sense of home, a deep love, or just the bittersweet ache of longing itself. I desperately need more collaborations between The Bleachers and The Boss.

10. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” – Shaboozy
This was my hype song of the year. It’s impossible not to sing along and get pumped up for the night. Plus, it was introduced to me by a client I always have so much fun with.
